The pair overcame a shaky start. Mensik struggled early, particularly on serve, and felt they were initially the worst team on court. They were down 2-4 in the first set before rallying. A key forehand drive volley from Cobolli helped them break back. His reflexes were key again at 5-3, 30-30 in the second set, producing excellent reflex volleys at the net.
