The bottom half of the women's singles draw completes the US Open fourth round on Monday. A series of high-stakes matches are set, headlined by a clash between former champions Naomi Osaka and Elena Rybakina.
According to the preview from ubitennis.net, the day's ATP action is led by top-seeded Alexander Zverev and fast-rising American Learner Tien. The schedule features eight matches across the grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Key Women's Showdowns
Naomi Osaka, the 13th seed, meets second seed Elena Rybakina not before 2:30 PM on Louis Armstrong Stadium. Osaka has won two consecutive three-set matches to reach this stage, including a tough battle against Elise Mertens. Rybakina has progressed without dropping a set. Their only prior meeting was a few weeks ago in Toronto, where Rybakina won a dramatic third-set tiebreak after saving a match point.
In a rematch of the Paris Olympics semifinal, eighth seed Iga Swiatek plays qualifier Qinwen Zheng at 11:30 AM on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Swiatek holds a 7-1 career record against Zheng, with her sole loss coming at the Olympics two summers ago. Swiatek has a 13-1 hardcourt record this summer. Zheng, however, is riding momentum after a stunning comeback from 0-5 down in the final set against Madison Keys. She has played six matches already, with her last four going three sets.
Fourth seed Coco Gauff faces 14th-seeded American Iva Jovic not before 7:00 PM on Arthur Ashe. Gauff carries a nine-match winning streak and has won 18 consecutive sets. Jovic arrives after an emotional, three-hour victory over friend Alexandra Eala. Gauff defeated Jovic in three sets during their only prior meeting four months ago in Rome.
Fifth seed Mirra Andreeva takes on 24th seed Anastasia Potapova at 11:00 AM on Louis Armstrong. Andreeva has not dropped a set. Potapova is in the fourth round of a Major for the third time. Andreeva leads their head-to-head 3-1, including a straight-sets win at last year's US Open.
Men's Fourth Round Contests
Top seed Alexander Zverev meets 24th seed Luciano Darderi in the night session on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Zverev, a semifinalist or better at the first three Majors of 2026, won his third-round match in straight sets. Darderi has won five ATP titles, all on clay, and has not faced a top 100 player this tournament. He did defeat Zverev on clay in Rome a few months ago.
American 14th seed Learner Tien plays Karen Khachanov not before 4:00 PM on Louis Armstrong. The 20-year-old Tien came back from two sets down to win in five against Jakub Mensik. He seeks his second Major quarterfinal. Khachanov, a two-time Major semifinalist, upset third-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the previous round.
In other matches, 24th seed Francisco Cerundolo faces 28th seed Alexander Blockx not before 1:00 PM on Ashe. Both men upset top 10 seeds in the third round. Lucky loser Arthur Gea meets Botic van de Zandschulp not before 4:30 PM on Grandstand. Gea has played 14 out of a possible 15 sets in the main draw.
