Ghostwriter, Tenability, Silawi clash in

The Listed August Stakes at Windsor on August 27, 2026, headlines a day of racing broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing from 4.30pm. A field of nine runners is set, featuring the high-profile trio of Ghostwriter, Tenability, and Silawi.

Ghostwriter has drawn significant attention since being purchased for £2 million by Amo in June 2025. According to the Sky Sports Racing report, he is yet to reward his connections but showed promise with a fourth-place finish at Goodwood. The race is seen as a good fit for the classy operator.

Silawi won the Grade One Canadian International at Woodbine last year. He ran well to finish second in the Jebel Hatta in January but has not matched that form since. The report states he was well beaten in Germany last month but hopes to bounce back at a track that suits him.

Earlier on the Windsor card, the unbeaten Crown And Two aims for a second victory in the opening novice stakes. The Tom Clover-trained colt won his debut at Newmarket 23 days ago and is considered the one to beat, provided he handles the slower conditions. George Boughey's Arthur Carrot, who broke slowly when second at this track earlier in the month, is expected to be sharper.

Chepstow and Saratoga Highlights

The day's action also includes a competitive novice stakes at Chepstow at 4.40. Recent winners Minster Man and Roxa Love are set to clash. Minster Man, who won a Musselburgh novice with ease, will be expected to improve from an opening mark of 85. Roxa Love defeated Henley On Thames at Brighton, a rival who has since won at York.

Saratoga hosts a series of high-profile graded stakes races. The schedule includes the Grade One H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes, where Englishman is reportedly a warm order for trainer Cherie DeVaux.
